Rules and freshness
Methodology
The overall traffic light is a simple rules-based summary of selected indicators.
Indicator Scores
Each current indicator is scored Green, Amber, or Red using documented thresholds in the macro configuration. Green contributes 0 points, Amber contributes 1 point, and Red contributes 2 points.
Stale indicators remain visible, but they are excluded from the active overall score. If more than 30 percent of indicators are stale, the dashboard shows a freshness warning.
Overall Bands
For the seven-indicator v1 board, Green is 0-3, Amber is 4-7, and Red is 8 or higher. Those ranges scale with the active indicator count, so deferred or stale rows do not distort the reading.
Yield Curve Rule
The UST 10y-3m curve has a stateful post-inversion rule. If the curve was ever at or below -1.00 percent and later turns positive within the following nine months, the curve indicator is bumped one level worse for that post-inversion window.
